Winter break is over and the hot time of the year starts with the first competition just a couple of days away.
In less than 10 days we will leave Berlin and go on a – rather short – trip to participate in RoboCup German Open in Magdeburg. We will meet the other two German teams in our league (the current champion Darmstadt Dribblers and WF Wolves) and a team from Iran. We hope there will be some interesting matches. f you are in the area, why not stop by and check it out. The event is open for the public (with free entry!) from Thursday (March 31st) to Sunday (April 3rd).
Directly afterwards (with just one night of sleep
ing late in between) we will leave for RoboCup Iran Open in Tehran. Games start on Thursday, April 7th, and end on Saturday, April 9th. Again, if you happen to be in the area, do stop by and cheer us on 🙂
Right now we are in the final stages of preparation. We have some enhancements in our software which should give us an additional edge. However we are a bit worried about our robots. Our hardware is still the same as last year (and the one before that) and though the robots have won 2nd place twice in as many years, their age starts to show. So one important point in our preparations is to get them in a good shape to survive not just one but two competitions in a row.
